MTB INDOOR SKILLS
Once again, KWCA will be offering our Indoor MTB Skills programs. We have programs for balance bike riders to advanced bike riders.
Our Multi-Station MTB circuit will improve the MTB skills of every member of the Cycling Community. Work on your attack position, front wheel lifts, hopping, and stand stills (balancing). We have 200' of skinnies, jumps, rollers, rock gardens, bridges, teeter totters. Practice proper sending styles on the Air lander and much much more! We are excited to add bike trial skills to session #3 for 2025.
Dates:
Saturday, January: 4 - March 29, 2025 (11 weeks)
No programming on January 18 or March 1
Location:
Queensmount Arena, Kitchener (Westmount Rd & Queen's Blvd)
Programs:
Session #1: Beginner Session with Coach Andrea - 10am - 10:55am
This session is for newer bike riders. Participants practice following instructions and work on hand eye coordination while gaining confidence on their bike. On our beginner circuit, participants ride over sticks, around pylons, in straight lines, practice cornering, stop in a box and bike over rollers. Balance bikes are welcome.
Session #2: Novice/Intermediate MTB Riders (Youth and Adults) - 10:30am - 11:30am
This session is for novice and intermediate riders who want to improve their MTB skills and gain confidence to ride obstacles on their bike. The multi-station circuit includes skinnies, jumps, rollers, rock gardens, bridges, and tee toters. Participants will practice their attack position, front wheel lifts, hopping, and stand stills (balancing).
Session #3: Intermediate/Advanced Riders & Bike Trails (Youth and Adults) - 11:30am - 12:40pm
Riders in this session must have the skills to independently ride all of the features confidently. Minimal instruction is provided for this session. Practice proper sending styles on the Air lander and much much more!
Note: If your bike skills do not match the session you registered for, KWCA will move you to the correct session.
Cost:
Full session (11 weeks) - $175.00 until January 3rd, $250 after January 3rd.
Six session pack - $150
Three session pack - $80
Try a Session - $30 plus insurance (Contact us at ContactUs@kwcyclingacademy.ca for additional details).
Insurance from Cycling Ontario is required to participate in any of our programs. You will be prompted to purchase a “Ontario 2025 Membership for Insurance" during the registration process. A Community Membership is recommended for non bike racers. Insurance is valid until December 31st, 2025.
